A New Vision for Oklahoma!
Let's Shape the Future Together!
My passion for our community and the belief that we can achieve incredible things together is why I'm running. I see a future for Oklahoma that's thriving economically, safe and secure, and where our schools lead the nation. I'm here to be a voice for that future, to bring innovative solutions and a fresh perspective to the challenges we face.
Register to Vote: https://oklahoma.gov/elections/voter-registration/register-to-vote.html
The stakes in this election could not be higher. We face a choice between continuing the status quo with career politicians or embracing a new direction with innovative solutions to our problems. I represent that new direction. With your support, we can bring about the change Oklahoma needs.
I’m James Stacy, and I’m asking for your vote to represent Oklahoma's 4th Congressional District. Together, we can build a brighter future for our state and our nation.
Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the assessment that something else is more important than fear.
Franklin D. Roosevelt.
NEWS should be a protected word. Today we have a lot of places to get our “News” and some of these places are not news but opinions or even propaganda and lies.
A strong democracy has to have a reliable and truthful source for news. When the population does not have the real facts you have conflicts that are based on lies.
Our Republic is fragile and is always under attack by those that do not want people to be free. We must be able to stop these adversaries from turning our citizens against each other because of falsehoods.
James Stacy
Oklahoma 4th Congressional District
Independant
My name is James Stacy and I am running for United States Congress in Oklahoma’s District 4.
I want to show that you can run for Congress without constantly asking people for money:
By only asking supporters for a one-time donation of $5 for individuals and $50 for Families, up to a maximum of $1000. That way no one person will have undue influence with me when I am in Congress.
No partisan politics:
I am running as an independent, so I do not answer to any party, but to the people of Oklahoma. I will vote based on what is best for Oklahoma.
How will I stay informed about the needs of the People of Oklahoma?:
I am allowed a staff of 18. I will approach the mayors of District 4 to recruit staff. I will need some staff who have been there and done that. I feel a good mix of leaders from Law Enforcement, Cannabis, Medical, Local Leadership, Farmers, and Education, will allow me to do what is best for the people of Oklahoma.
Women's Reproductive Rights:
I do not want the government making medical decisions for anyone that is against what that person wants. Abortion is a very hard thing for everyone involved. If you do not want someone else to get an abortion you should agree to help take responsibility for the child until they are 18 with a binding contract. This would include but not limited to Financially, Baby sitting, Food and Education. Why is an embryo protected but actual children are left to starve, be uneducated and homeless?
Not knowing what is the reason or circumstances behind a women having to go through such a difficult thing, and telling them what to do is not American.
With this type of thinking at some point, it could be decided that other medical procedures or medicines are not allowed or worse required. What if you need something for your quality of life and the government said no?
CyberForce: Protecting America's Cyber Frontiers.
Establish CyberForce, a dedicated law enforcement agency focused on defending the United States against cyber attacks, ensuring national security in the digital age.
Invest in cutting-edge technology and continuous training for CyberForce personnel to stay ahead of cyber threats and safeguard critical infrastructure.
Promote collaboration between federal agencies, private sector partners, and international allies to enhance global cyber defense capabilities and share intelligence on emerging threats.
Remove Cannabis from Scheduling so that states can regulate it:
If it is moved to Schedule 3 as has been proposed by the current administration. Insure that state laws are respected and existing Cannabis industries will be protected.
Bring in more industries through Federal tax incentives:
With the Impending closing of the Michelin Plant in Ardmore, now more than ever we need to attract companies to Oklahoma.
We need new industries in Oklahoma, and the federal government has the resources to attract them to our state.
Some target industries include, but are not limited to:
Hempcrete
Chip Manufacturing
Renewable Energy
Electrical Charging Stations
Biodegradable Hemp bioplastic
Increase Oklahoma teachers pay:
We must increase teacher’s pay by 30%. Education is important. Our teachers should not have to use their own money, or spend their time raising money to buy student supplies. They need that time to prepare their curriculum, review homework, give and grade tests, and most importantly, teach. We want the best education for our children and ourselves to meet the challenges of the future.
America is 13th in the world and Oklahoma is 45th in America. I am an NFL fan and when your team is bad you get to draft first. What this looks like is not only pay based but the available resources. A lot of programs fail because the one size fits all approach is not very successful. We create an Information exchange where the best performing schools can provide information and support about their programs. This way schools can find the programs that best fit their needs.
Safe Water:
Water is needed for life. We need to ensure safe water supplies.
Currently, we address the issue of contamination only after our children have been poisoned.
This is not acceptable. Safe water should be a Federal issue, as most cities and states do not have the resources to deal with the massive cost of upgrading bad pipes. A coordinated effort is needed to make sure everyone has access to safe water.
Affordable Housing:
High interest rates are preventing many people from achieving the American dream of home ownership. The low availability of inventory also needs to be addressed. Current housing programs could set the market on interest rates instead of letting private banks dictate how much they charge.
Builders can be encouraged to build low income housing with a monitor to make sure that these projects are not converted after they are approved to high end housing. New construction could use Hemp Crete to stimulate a new product that is carbon negative.
Protect our Constitutional Republic:
The First amendment is so the Government can not stop Citizens from complaining about an unfair Government. It was not intended so that politicians can lie to gain or hold on to power.
NEWS should be a protected word. Today we have a lot of places to get our “News” and some of these places are not news but opinions or even propaganda and lies. The average person has no way of knowing if this news source is really a group of people that are not telling the truth. We have some limits to the first amendment, such as not yelling “Fire” in a crowded theater.
A strong democracy has to have a reliable and truthful source for news. When the population does not have the real facts you have conflicts that are based on lies.
The recent lawsuit against Fox News shows that companies are willing to say anything to get viewers. The spreading of lies and foreign propaganda as news can not be allowed to continue.
Our Republic is fragile and is always under attack by those that do not want people to be free. We must be able to stop these adversaries from turning our citizens against each other because of lies.
Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women:
There is a need for Federal coordination with local Tribal Governments to find missing indigenous women or in the case of murder, find and prosecute the person or people responsible.
Fix Guest worker programs:
The Guest worker program has been changed to promote political agendas. We need a stable program so that companies can rely on guest workers that have properly crossed the border and paying taxes. Many Farmers need this program to keep their farms going.
Who do I support?:
I Support Harris Walz!
Because we need to protect our country from Project 2025.
I am a Capitalist:
As a Capitalist we all start on the same playing field. When a special class of people are allowed to pay a lower tax rate than everyone else, this gives them an unfair advantage and creates an Oligarchy instead of Capitalism.
The advantage Billionaire only pays 23% taxes as compared to the average person who pays 34%. The super-wealthy have an unfair advantage over the average person because it costs them less to try a new venture or take over an existing one.
We need to fix the tax code. It should be an upward arc, rather than a lower one when you reach ultra rich levels.
Fund Law Enforcement:
Law enforcement needs to have the funding to do their jobs. Training needs to be a big part of the officer’s job. The more confident a person is the better prepared they are for high stress confrontations. Law enforcement should be compensated at a high level for their sacrifices.
Thanks
